radio frequency electromagnetic fields

eyEM is designed to provide an immediate indication of the presence of radio frequency electromagnetic fields generated by the systems and devices of daily use, in domestic and recreational contexts and in the workplace.

eyEM can be used to detect the emissions of: mobile and smartphone, computer, tablet, laptop, wi-fi instruments, electronic control equipment with microwave, DVD players, antennas for transmitting radio waves in the sensor’s operating range (radio, TV, mobile telephony, …), microphones and other wireless systems.

The radio-frequency electromagnetic fields are classified by IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization) in the second group B, that is “possibly carcinogenic to humans”: http://monographs.iarc.fr/ENG /Classification/index.php.

The frequency range detected by eyEM is 100 MHz – 3 GHz.
